Robert D. Bushey, Sr. 84 of Hope passed away at 1:50 a.m. Monday July 26, 2010 at his home
Mr. Bushey retired from Cummins Engine Co. He had served with the U.S. Army during W.W. II and was a member of Burnsville Christian Church and Hoosier Model T. Club. He loved working on his Model T cars and do woodworking
The funeral will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday . Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Of South Central Indiana.
Born in Indianapolis on March 17, 1926, he was the son of Walter Bushey, Sr and Ruth Ann Bushey Neal. He married Mary I. Cox March 17, 1947 , who preceded him in death on July 10, 1975.
Survivors include children Sheila A (Raymond) Ison of Columbus, Timothy A. Bushey and Penny S. (Joe) Stroup both of Hope ; Ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a sister Teeni Bridges of Florida.
Mr. Bushey was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Bushey; son Robert Donald Bushey,Jr.; second wife Mabel Skaggs Bushey and a brother Walter Bushey Jr.
