Robert (Bob) W. Pitman, 74 of Hope, IN died at 6:38 am Thursday June 6, 2013
at Miller's Merry Manor.
He was a retired masonry contractor, a former member of American Legion
and charter member of the Optimists Club and an Army Veteran.
He enjoyed fishing.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with
Rev. Ray "Butch" and Rev. Linda Brown officiating. The visitation will be Saturday
from 5:00 -7:00 pm and on Sunday from 1:30 until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Old Union Cemetery Perpetual Fund
or the Veterans Association.
Born August 7, 1938 in Columbus, Robert was the son of Hershel and Minniebell
(Hildebrand) Pitman.
He is survived by children, Robert (Kelli) Pitman, Jr. of Hope, Cheryl (Terry) Dodd
of Fountaintown and Aaron Pitman of Hope; sisters, Mary Ball of Greensburg and
Virginia (Jack) Bullard of Columbus; half brother Bill Pitman of Florida; step-mother
Ann Pitman of Port Charlotte, Fl.; grandsons Jeremy Pitman and Paul and Phillip Dodd
and granddaughters Danielle (Bret) Mize and Alysha Pitman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Eric Dodd.
