Ron Cornett, 67, of Hope passed away Saturday February 4, 2023 at his home.                                                                                                Born April 22, 1955 in Hazard, KY he was the son of Dellmer and Dellarie Griffie Cornett.                                                                                        Ron has been owner and operator of Cornett's Corner Cafe in Hope for over 22 years.  He had previously been owner of Dapper Duck Inn at Grandview Lake and Ancestors in Hope.  He had also previously been employed at Left Bank, Cliff Hagens, Elks Club and Heritage House.                     Ron enjoyed traveling and gardening and was a reputable Yorkshire Terrier breeder.                                                                                               Ron is survived by his father, Dellmer Cornett of Kentucky; children, Mark (Amber) Cornett of Hope and Johnna Cornett of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Lillie Cornett (Collin Sinclair) of Shelbyville and Brienell Blake of Indianapolis; sisters, Debbie (Don) Hoover of Columbus, Linda Cornett of Columbus and Kay Caudill of Cornettsville, KY and several nieces and nephews.                                                                                         Ron was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Robbie Cornett and sister, Betty Begley.                                                                                     To honor Ron's wishes, cremation is planned.  There will be a visitation for the public to pay their respects to Ron's family on Friday February 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.                                                                                                                                         Memorial contributions may be donated to the donor's choice of animal rescue services.
