Roy L. Williams, 98, of Columbus passed away Saturday May 10, 2008 at 9:38 pm at Miller's Merry manor in Hope.
He was retired from Cummins Engine Co. after being employed there for 30 years. He was a member of St. Louis Crossing Baptist Church and a CREAK Club member. He also enjoyed gardening and horse shoe pitching.
The funeral will be on Thursday May 15 at 2:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Revs. Marvin Arnett and David Frost officiating. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery on the North side of Columbus.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mr. Williams was born on June 7, 1909 in Monticello, Ky. His parents were John & Leora Flynn Williams. He married Velva Steele on February 29, 1936
in Monticello Ky and she survives.
Other survivors include, grandchildren, Luanna Barker of Hope,IN, Melissa (Geoff) Walker of Lafayette and Susan Barker of Columbus; and great grandchildren, Drew & Brandon Barker of Hope, Luke, Sam, & Max Walker of Lafayette, Bryce Hoeltke of West Lafayette and Leah Hoeltke of Columbus.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Donna Faye Barker; a grandson, Chris Barker and 10 siblings.
