Ruby Faye Goodwin, 90 of Hope passed away Saturday June 20, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Goodwin was a homemaker and loved quilting and canning. She was a former member of the Hope Moravian Church.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with the Rev. Kerry Krauss officiating. Calling will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Born in Hope December 31, 1918 . she was the daughter of Arthur G. and Flavia Murphy Miller. She married Verl Goodwin Oct. 5, 1946 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2007.
Survivors include a son Tim (Sandie) Goodwin of Hope and a daughter Jane Norman of Newbern; grandchildren Stacy Hancock of Hope, Jenny Emmert of Columbus and Andrew Emmert of Newbern; great grandchildren Haley, Gaven and Bladen Hancock, Emily Beach and Ciara Boston all of Columbus.
Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her parents, husband , brothers Arthur L., Claude and Ray Miller and sisters Alberta Pogue, Ivone Neville, Mary Miller and Betty Cochran.
