Russell "Russ" W. Miller, 58 of Hope died at home Monday May 23, 2011 at
7:30 am.
He was a carpenter and mechanic.
He was a member of Hope House of Prayer. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cars,
racing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandkids.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev.
Rick Leonard officiating. Calling will be Thursday from 5:00 - 9:00 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Flat Rock Cemetery in the town of Flat Rock.
Memorials may be donated to Norman Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
Born July 4, 1952 in Columbus, Russ was the son of Russell R. and Barbara Herron
Miller. He married Diana S. Vest October 21, 1972 and she survives.
Other survivors include; a daughter, Christina M. (Brent C.) Humphress of Columbus;
a granddaughter, Kylah Sue Humphress; a grandson, Cailin Michael Humphress; sisters,
Sally (James) Arnett of Greensburg, Ky. and Peggy Larrison of Columbus; a brother,
Larry Fields of Brown County; twelve nieces and twenty four nephews.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roy Allen Miller; sisters, Mary Ellen
Newman, JoAnn Howard, and Nora Gibson; brothers, Sonny and Curtis Miller; nephews,
Johnny and Robert Newman and Allen and Alvin Howard and a niece, Jamie Gibson.
