Ruth L. Goodwin, 83, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday March 12, 2008 at 9:25 am at Ashford Place in Shelbyville.
Mrs. Goodwin worked for United Technologies for several years.
She volunteered at Ashford Place and was a member of The American Legion Auxillary of Shelbyville. She loved to do word search puzzles, play games, sing, dance and spend time with her family.
The funeral will be Saturday March 15 at 11:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Born on August 31, 1924 in Connersville, IN, Mrs. Goodwin was the daughter of Clyde and Jesse Johnson Dawson. She married Glen A. Goodwin Dec. 11, 1948 in Shelbyville and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Survivors include; a daughter, Linda Gum of Shelbyville; two sons, Ronnie(Connie) Goodwin of Flat Rock and Gary Goodwin of Shelbyville; a sister, Betty Williams of Nightstown; grandchildren, Brian Slagle, Erin Robertson, Ty and Brittney Goodwin, Craig , Mandy , and April Gum; great grandchildren, Sam and Tatum Robertson, Cody Slagle, Chelsea , Jeffrey , Triston and Mackenzie Brown and Paige Murrello.
Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a daughter, Carolyn Jean Stewart
