Ruth "My My" Wheelden, 78 of Columbus went home to be with
Jesus Thursday October 23, 2014.

Before retiring she had been employed at Walmart as a sales
associate.

She was a woman who took pride in taking care of her family
and her granddaughters were the love of her life. When she was able,
she enjoyed spending time with her Walmart friends.

The funeral will be Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home
in Hope with Pastor Steve Bell officiating. Visitation will be from
1:00 p.m. until service time. Cremation is planned following the service.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Our Hospice of South
Central Indiana.

Born June 12, 1936 in Newfoundland, Canada, Ruth was the daughter of James and Annie Lucas.

Survivors include, daughters, Ruth Ann Miller and Judy (Andy)
Wingham, both of Columbus; granddaughters, Mackenzie, Marin
and Macy Wingham of Columbus and siblings, Francis Lucas, Billy
Lucas, Junior Lucas, Greta Tobin, Dale Keating, Norman Young, Trudy
Keating, Olivera Lucas and Delores LaRue, all of Newfoundland,
Canada and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Conrad
Lucas, Pauline Alexander and Geraldine Webb, a son in law, Bruce
"Speedy" Miller and a son, Paul Wheelden.
