Obituary

Ruth J. Ritchison, 94 of Hope passed away at 5:00 a.m. Monday Sept 1 at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Ritchison was a school teacher for Flatrock-Hawcreek school system for 33 1/2 years.
she also had served on the Flatrock-Hawcreek School Board and was a Flatrock Township
Trustee.
She was a graduate of Clifford High School and Normal Central College and a member of First Baptist Church in Hope, and Romine W.C.T.U. and a past member of Hope Order of Eastern Star. She was the Hope representative for the Bartholomew County Senior Citizen Award in 1972.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Calling will be on Thusday from 5 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery
Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Central Indiana, First Baptist Church of Hope,or the donor's choice.
Born June 16, 1914 in Bartholomew County, she was the daughter of Oliver and Opal Thayer Nading. She married Ilaf F. Ritchison on May 2, 1935 and he preceded in death on October 21, 1976.
Survivors include a son Junior (Lana) Ritchison of Columbus, a daughter Mary Kay Everroad of Hope; grandchildren Joseph Everroad of New castle, Brain (LaDonna) Everroad of Greenwood, Eric (Kim) Everroad of Edinburgh and Ryan (Mechelle) Ritchison of Columbus; great grandchildren Tiffany,David,Stephen,Stephanie,Josh, Ashley,Michael,Brian,Timmy, Robert and Shawana Everroad, Katherine and Matthew Ritchison, Jessica Powers and Matthew Day and one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Ritchison was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers
Charles, Lincoln, Paul and John Nading and sisters Mary Gant, Sara Beeker and Thelma
Brumfield.
