Sarah Rose
Taylor
April 8, 2005 – September 5, 2020
Sarah Rose Taylor, 15, of Hope, Indiana, ran into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 5th, 2020, following an intense battle with cancer at Riley Children's Hospital.
Sarah was born on April 8th, 2005, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Chad and Kimberely Taylor and sister to Libby Taylor.
Sarah had an infectious smile that lit up the room wherever she would go. She loved Jesus, her family, and her friends, and she attended Hauser High School. She was actively involved with FFA, Band, and Student Council. She worshiped, learned about, and served Jesus at The Ridge. She enjoyed being a part of the Youth Group, RidgeKids dance team, and Video Production team. She also loved playing piano and singing, Bible journaling, word art, and all things social media. Sarah used her journey through cancer to bring hope and joy to others, and she strengthened the faith of many.
Sarah is survived by her parents and sister; grandparents, Richard and Donna Young of Hope and Angela Taylor of Brookville; several aunts and uncles, Kevin and Terri Young of Hope; Rod Taylor of Phoenix, AZ; Cyndi Stewart Sharp of Harrodsburg, KY; Chris and Kristi Herbert of Greenfield; and several cousins and extended relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Barney Taylor, of Brookville. She was looking forward to meeting her three unborn siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held outside on Thursday, September 10th, 2020, at The Ridge, 2800 Bonnell Rd, Columbus, Indiana, on the back lawn. Sarah has requested that no one wear black. She also requested that everyone wear comfortable clothes and no suits required! Visitation will be from 2:30-5:30 pm, with the Celebration of Life Service starting promptly at 5:30 pm. Graveside services will follow at the Hope Moravian Cemetery. Please plan to bring your own lawn chair, if possible, and wear a mask when unable to socially distance.
