Sheryl Coffman, 62 of Columbus passed away Sunday Nov. 27, 2011 at home
surrounded by her family.
Sherry was a long time employee of Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was an active member of Community Church of Columbus and lived her life as a great testament to His glory. She was a loving mom, grandma, daughter,
sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Born in Columbus Aug. 11, 1949 to the late Alfred E. and surviving Dorothy Johnson
McCarty.
She leaves behind daughters Laura (Pat) Primmer and Shannon Page both of
Indianapolis; son L. Jeffery Childers of Seymour ;grandchildren Chelsea (Josh) Young,
Jacob Primmer, Bryce Page and Andrew Page; great grandsons Lucas and Logan Young;
brothers Terry ( Joanna) McCarty of Franklin and Randy (Barb) McCarty of Hartsville;
sisters Dotty (Jerry) Hill 0f Waynesville , Rosy Moss and Carolyn (Darrel) Burbridge both
of Hope and many nieces and nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father Alfred E. McCarty, brothers Larry
and Jerry McCarty, sister Sharon McCarty Rae and was met at the gates of heaven by grandsons
Jordan Tyler Childers and granddaughter Alison Brooke page.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
A private family service will be held with Pastor Chuck Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
