Steven Dale Poe, 76, of Hope, IN, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022. He was born October 30, 1946 to Joyce and Miriam (Tucker) Poe.

Steve was a 1964 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He retired as a Supervisor from Knauf Fiberglass. Steve enjoyed spending time with family and rooting on his children and grandchildren in sporting events for the Shelbyville Golden Bears and the Hauser Jets.

Steve is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years Linda (Watkins) Poe; sisters-in-law Angela (Metzger) Poe and Ruth (Craft) Poe; three children Darold (Pam) Johnson, Debbie (Jim) Pitzer, and Cameron (Jessica) Poe; eight grandchildren Courtney Pitzer, Marissa Pitzer, Gabrielle Pitzer, Elizabeth Johnson, Elaine Johnson, Grace Johnson, Madelyn Poe, and Jillian Poe; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Philip Poe, sister Joycelyn (Poe) Huckaby, brother Brett Poe, as well as brother-in-law George Huckaby and sister-in-law Carolyn (Nichols) Poe.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4 at 4:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home, 604 Main St., Hope, IN 47246, with Reverend Perry Fouts officiating. Visitation is from 2:00 pm to time of service. There will be no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Elementary Athletic Fund or Hauser Girls Basketball.
