Sue S Epperson's Obituary
Sue S. Epperson, 79, of Hope, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Mrs. Epperson retired from civil service work. She was a member of Hope American Legion Auxiliary, AARP and the MS Society.
She liked to play bingo, cards, Scrabble, read and gamble.
A celebration of Mrs. Epperson's life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Silver Oaks Health Campus with the Rev. Tom Long officiating. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Moravian Cemetery .
Memorial contributions may be given to the MS Indiana State Chapter, 7301 Georgetown Road, Suite 112 , Indianapolis , IN 46268-4157, or Hospice of South Central Indiana .
Born in Rugby on June 14, 1931, she was the daughter of George T. and Flo R. Robertson Stewart. She married Claude D. Epperson on Feb. 26, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1999.
Survivors include children, Linda (George) Merk of Columbus, Carl (Ingrid) Epperson of Virginia Beach, Va., Connie (John) Deiwert of Bargersville and Joe Epperson of Columbus ; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister Georgia Banks of Lafayette , Calif.
Mrs. Epperson was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, John S.; brother, Gene Stewart; and a granddaughter, Carla Sue Epperson.
