T. Allene Hargett, 77 of Hartsville passed away Wednesday May 27, 2009 5:21 pm at Hospice of South Central Indiana.
She was currently the Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of Hartsville and was retired from business manager of Sandcrest
Medical.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hartsville and the Red Hat Society of Hartsville. She loved gardening.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. Ed Fryman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.

Born on August 11, 1931 in Sonora, Ky. Ms. Hargett was the daughter of Ralph and Alice Hornback Norris. She married Charles Hargett July 5, 1948 in Columbus, IN.
Survivors include children, Karen Hargett of Clarksburg, WV,
Roger(Robin) Hargett of Hartsville and Susan(Bob) Hargett-Evans of Indianapolis; brothers, David(Sylvia) Norris of Homosassa, Fl. and Robert(Marilyn) Norris of Panama City, Fl.; a sister, Alice (Bill) Williamson of Homosassa, Fl.; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Ms. Hargett was preceded in death by her parents and former husband.
