Teresa James, 54, of Columbus passed away Wednesday January 31, 2024 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Born November 5, 1969 in Columbus she was the daughter of David and Janet Kay Bierlein Harlow.  She married Robert James April 29, 2017 and he survives.

Teresa was employed at San Souci.  She received a technical certificate as a licensed practical nurse from Ivy Tech State College.

Teresa enjoyed fishing and going to the beach.  She loved animals, especially dogs.  She had previously volunteered at animal shelters. She also loved sunflowers of every color and size.

There will be a visitation for Teresa Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.  A funeral service will follow at 7 and will be officiated by Pastor Ed Cottrell.  Cremation will follow service.

Memorial contributions may be donated directly to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Robert James of Columbus; daughters, Aliah Ritter and Callie Ritter, both of Columbus; her mother, Janet Kay Harlow of Taylorsville; sister, Sheila Sweet of Taylorsville; brother, Scott Harlow of Taylorsville and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Harlow.
