Terry Michael Mccarty's Obituary
Terry Michael McCarty, 60 of Franklin, passed away Saturday
January 21, 2012 at Methodist Hospital.
He was employed in construction.
He loved canoeing, fishing and golfing.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Norman Funeral Home
in Hope. The calling will be on Wednesday from noon until service
time. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery west of Clifford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Mr. McCarty's funeral expenses through the funeral home.
Born June 17, 1951 in Shelbyville, Mr. McCarty was the son of
Alfred and Dorothy Johnson McCarty.
Survivors include his children, Eva McCarty of Columbus, Mike (Sarah) McCarty II of Columbus and Greg (Christine) Carey of Greenwood; his wife, Jo Ann; his mother, Dorothy McCarty of Columbus; grandchildren, Christopher Moon of Columbus, Steven Penrose of Columbus, Bethany McCarty of Columbus, Haley McCarty of Columbus, and Alex Carey of Greenwood and siblings, Dotty (Jerry) Hill of Columbus, Rosy Moss of Hope, Carolyn (Darrel) Burbridge of Hope and Randy (Barb) McCarty of Hartsville.
He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Larry and Jerry McCarty and sisters, Sharon Rea and Sherry Coffman.
