Thomas Max Elliott, 62 of Columbus passed away Monday
morning at King's Daughter Hospital in Madison.
He had been a truck driver for many years and was presently
employed by Transforce, Inc.
He was a member of Hope Masonic Lodge and was a former
member of the Moose Lodge.
Tom's funeral will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral
Home in Hope with Pastor Gerald Hancock officiating. Visitation
will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until
service time. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorials may be donated to Bartholomew County Humane
Society or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the
funeral home.
Born in Columbus, Indiana February 12, 1954, Tom was the son
of Max and Jean Essex Elliott. He was married to Sharon Guthrie
and she proceded him in death.
Tom was an avid NASCAR fan, loved to tinker in his garage and
do woodworking. He also made a mean apple pie.
Tom is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Elliott ( Stuart) Messum
of Addlestone, England; a son, Brett (Lori) Elliott of Louisville; grandchildren, Gus, Owen and Digby Messum of Addlestone, England and Lena and William Elliott of Louisville; a sister, Suzie Norman of Hope; a brother,Rob (Stacy) Elliott of Seymour; a nephew, Andy Norman of Indianapolis;nieces, Ashley (Braden) Loyd of Columbus, Breanna (Troy Sparks) of Seymour, Taylor Elliott of Scottsburg, Bethany Coomer of Seymour and a girlfriend of 3 years, Teresa Shepherd of Columbus.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Jean, his wife,
Sharon Elliott and his brother in law, John Norman.
