Obituary

Trudy Miller, 75. of Hope, died Tuesday March 18, 2008 at her home.
Born December 18, 1932 in Hartford Ky., she was the daughter of Ott and Dora Hoover Rhoades.
She married Thurman Lee Miller in February 1952. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 1995.
Survivors include two sons Jack (Jodi) Miller of Shebyville and Tony (Jackie) Miller
of Flat Rock and a step-son Roy Miller of Brookville, IN. One son Mike preceded in death in
1975.
She has four grandchildren Kelli (Todd) Pearson , and Brad (Rebecca)Miller both of
Shelbyville and Dustin and Casey Miller both of Flat Rock. Two step granddaughters
Mandy (Jeff) Lancaster of Centerville, Micah(Brian) Smiley of Flat Rock and a step grandson
Lige Phares of Columbus. She also had 2 great step grandsons and one step granddaughter.
She has five siters Kay (Lon Dale) Nicol of Saginaw, Texas, Margaret Hedges of
Hartford, KY, Rachel (John) Miller of Hope,nad Alma Rhoades of Hope. A sister
Lyvonne Rhoades and a half sister, Edna Bartlett preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by brothers Maurice, Junior and Bub Rhoades and two half brothers Otis and Randolph
Rhoades.
Mrs. Miller and her husband Lee were business owners in Hope from 1960 throuth
1992. From 1960 through 1982 they owned and operated Hope Quality Dry Cleaners.
From 1979 through 1992 they owned and operated Millers Auto Supply.
She worked ten years at Miller's Merry Manor and she worked six years at the
Sugar Shak restaurant and bakery. Baking pies was one of her specialites
She was a member of American Legion of Hope and a member of Flat Rock
Christian Church and had been attending Flat Rock United Methodist Church.
She loved working in her yard , her family and baking.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. friday at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev.
George Kimsey Officiating. Calling will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial
will be at Flat Rock Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Central
Indiana, Hope Squad 15 or the Flat Rock Methodist Church building Fund.
