V. Joan Wiles, 74 of Taylorsville died Friday at Columbus
Regional Hospital.
She was retired as a waitress. She loved bingo, crossword
puzzles and going to the casino.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral
Home in Hope with Pastor Kevin Metz officiating. Visitation will be
Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until service
time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.

Home to help with funeral expenses.
Born November 5, 1941 in Rochelle, IL, Joan was the daughter
of Tommy Shoun and Josie Snyder Johns. She married Jimmie Wiles
June 24, 1967 and he survives. Other survivors include; children,
Trina (Jeremy) Skaggs of Taylorsville, DeWayne (Mary) Snyder
of North Vernon, Karen Bugg of Columbus, Denise (Mark) Seal of
Morristown, TN and Jimmy Wiles (Jen Sizemore) of Columbus;
six grandchildren that Joan raised, Alyssa Wiles of Indianapolis,
Kari Wiles of Seymour, Chris Wiles of Columbus, Jeremy M. Skaggs,
Kendra Wiles and Brandon Skaggs, all of Taylorsville; Ten other
grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great
grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, a son,
Joey Williams; a grandson,Tyler Williams and sisters, Mary Drake,
Linda Hurley and Bobby Cantwell.
