Velma L. Harvey, 84, of Hope died at 12:32 p.m. on Sunday, April, 16, 2017 at Keepsake Village.
Velma was a volunteer candy striper at the local hospital as well as a secretary and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and watching her grandkids play sports.
Born July 24, 1932 in Hope, Velma was the daughter of Isaac and Lenora (Cox) Epperson. She married Robert D. Harvey on September 23, 1953. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2016.
Survivors include grandchildren, Brandon (Angie) Murphy of Atlanta, Georgia, Shana (Joe) Feldpausch of Nashville, Tennessee, and Casey (Melia) Murphy of Franklin; great-grandchildren, Nolan Feldpausch of Nashville, Tennessee, Skylar and Piper Murphy, both of Atlanta, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Velma is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jennifer Daily; brothers, Charles (Bert) Epperson, James (Bill) Epperson and Claude Epperson; and sister, Mary Nell Hammer
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
