Verna P. Webb, 73, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born on August 12, 1947 in Glasgow, Kentucky, Verna was the daughter of Kotz and Verna Schearer Grider. She married Harold W. Webb on May 1, 1964.

Verna spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards with her Thursday ladies card club. She also enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, playing Bocce Ball, and traveling to Florida in the winter.

She is survived by her husband, Harold of Columbus; children, Greg (Cecilia) Webb of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Steve (Melinda) Webb of Columbus; grandchildren, Cambell, Wyatt, and Rubie Webb all of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and Olivia (Hal) Webb-Enkoff and Paige Webb, both of Columbus; brother, Ralph Grider (Pam) of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

Verna is preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home. A private service will be held with Donny Irvin officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID restrictions, 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time. Please wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
