Vickie Lynn Barrett League, 28, of North Vernon died Sunday March 22, 2009 at 12:30 pm at Jennings St. Vincent Hospital in North Vernon. She was a caregiver for AWS Agency. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Adams, IN. She loved to cross stitch, read, play cards and do Sudoku puzzles. She was a 1999 graduate of North Decatur High School. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Keith Dover officiating. Calling will be on Wednesday from 4:00- 8:00 and Thursday from 10:00 until service time. Burial will be at Hawcreek Baptist Cemetery near Hope. Memorials may be donated to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Born on June 30, 1980 in Columbus, IN, Mrs. League was the daughter of Donald Barrett and Amy Brashars Geise. She married Allen League August 18, 2001 and he survives. Survivors include; her husband; her mother Amy and step father Randy Geise of St. Paul; a daughter, Elizabeth League of North Vernon; sisters, Lisa (Ivan) League of Greensburg, Sara Elmore of North Vernon; grandmother, Phyllis Barrett of Greensburg and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by; her father; 2 grandfathers, Claude Barrett and Thearon Broshars; a grandmother, Ruth Brashars; an uncle, Tim Brashars and cousin, Claudia Hockersmith.
