Vina M. "Grandma" Sallee, 86 of Columbus passed away
Monday August 22, 2016 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She had previously been employed at Holiday Inn, Otter Creek
Golf Course, Elizabethtown Grocery Store and the Hope Community
Church of God where she was also a member. She helped manage
Sallee Auto Sales and she was a caregiver for many and her babysitting
profession was more a hobby because of her love and compassion for
all children. That's why all children knew her as "Grandma".
She loved to sew.
Vina's funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home
in Hope with Pastor Gerald Hancock officiating. Visitation will be Friday
from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 until service time. Burial will be at
Mineral Springs Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Hope Church of God through the
funeral home.
Born September 12, 1929 in Shelbyville, IN, Vina was the daughter of Floyd
and Flossie Mae Holt Corbin. She married William R. Sallee April 6, 1946
and he preceded her in death August 1, 2001.
Survivors include children, David (Sally) Sallee of Wilton, IA, William "Pop Corn"
(Wanda) Sallee of Columbus,IN and Daniel Sallee of Elizabethtown,IN; grandchildren,
Raymond (Trish) Sallee of Scipio, IN, Tim (Patti) Sallee of Wapello, IA, Sarah
(Larry) Dickerson of Washington, IA, Tamy Sallee of Whiteland, IN, Thomas
(Michelle) Sallee of Elizabethtown, IN; Cindy (Ross) Smith of Columbus, IN,
April (Jerry) Perry of Columbus,IN, Shannon (Ashley) Davis of Columbus, IN,
Robert (Cassandra) Sallee of Columbus, IN Andrew Sallee of Medora, IN, Danielle Sallee of Greensburg, IN Bailey England and Derick England;
great grandchildren, Amanda, Brad, Levi, Joshua, Nathaniel
and Nolyn Sallee, Tyler, Samantha and Jacob York, Ashley Kelley, Brittany Richers,

Vina was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
