Obituary

Violet Junne Barnett, 91 of Flat Rock, IN passed away Tuesday
May 17, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Before retirement she was the Curator at The Grover Museum
in Shelbyville. She and her husband owned Barnett Sales
in Flat Rock where she was the secretary.
Junne was a member of The Flat Rock United Methodist Church
and the Order of Eastern Star in Norristown where she was a past Worthy
Matron. Her and her husband were very involved in the Federation of
Historical Bottle Collectors. In 2003, they were inducted in to the FOHBC
Hall of Fame.
Junne loved spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and
reading.
The funeral will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the Flat Rock United
Methodist Church with Rev. Leslie Fix officiating. Visitation will be from
10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow at the Flat
Rock Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the Flat Rock United Methodist
Church or Turning Point Church at 3600 N Mortan St., Franklin, IN 46131.
Born December 18, 1924 in Fairland, IN, Junne was the daughter of Roy
Roscoe and Elsie Fierstein Baxter. She married Norman Barnett March 19, 1946
and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2010.
Survivors include; sons, Stephan Barnett of Lafayette and Gary (Chris) Barnett
of Shelbyville; daughter in law and caregiver, Debra "Debbie" Barnett of Edinburgh;
grandchildren, Ryan (Kim) Barnett of Franklin, Brad (Jessica) Barnett of Franklin,
Angie (Patrick) Dowell of Lafayette and Jessie Barnett (Aramenta Fitch) of
Medaryville; 11 great grandchildren and a brother, Oris (Janie) Baxter of Shelbyville.
Junne was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a brother, Roy "Sonny"
Baxter.
