Obituary

Virgil L. Hamilton, 74 of Hope, passed away Tuesday Sept. 9. 2008 at 7:30 pm at his home. Mr. Hamilton was retired from being a salesman. He was in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. He was a member of The American Legion in Shelbyville and a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars. The funeral will be Saturday Sept. 13 at 10:00am at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Paster Kerry Krauss officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:30 - 7:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery. Memorials may be donated to The Perpetual Care Fund of Hope Moravian Church. Online condolences may be sent to www.normanfuneralhome.net. Born in Bartholomew County, on November 19, 1933, Mr. Hamilton was the son of Gerald and Laura Waltz Hamilton. He married Mary Louise Schaefer on July 13, 1957 in Hope, IN and she survives. Other survivors include children, Gary(Diane)Hamilton of Charlottesville, VA, Laura(Lin)Lynch of Englewood, Ohio, Michael(Alyssa) Hamilton of Thousand Oaks, CA, James Hamilton and Steven(Sharri) Hamilton of Hope; grandchildren, Caleb, Lee, Ryan, Ellen, Emilie and Marlena Hamilton, Jennifer(Joe)Weeks,Amy and Megan Lynch, Kaleb Cox and Susanne(John) Lintz and a sister, Sonna(Darrell) Holder of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald Hamilton
