Virginia F. Gabbard, 76, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Virginia spent most of her life as a homemaker and had worked in bowling promotion for 18 years. She attended Flat Rock Methodist Church and was a member of WIBC. Virginia's passion was bowling.
Born on October 16, 1943 in Decatur County, Virginia was the daughter of Alfred and Augusta Wood Moore. She graduated from Hauser High School in 1961. She married Pete Gabbard on June 8, 1963 at United Brethren Church in Rugby, IN.
Survivors include her husband, of Columbus; sons, Jeffrey (Diann) Gabbard of Sherwood, AR and Gregory (Yukako) Gabbard of Ridgecrest, CA; and granddaughters, Jessica Gabbard of Columbus and Chelsea Gabbard of Ridgecrest, CA.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Dan A. Moore, Robert L. Moore, Ernest Dee Moore, and Charles Moore.
A service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
