Virginia May Powell, 88 of Hope died Wednesday Oct 31, 2012 at the home of her son.
Mrs. Powell, at one time, had been manager of Northside School Cafeteria.
She was a member of Hope Moravian Church and her grandchildren were very
important in her life.
The funeral will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Rev Jeff VanOrden offciating. Viewing hours will be Saturday from
10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Born in Indianapolis Sept. 15, 1924, Mrs. Powell was the daughter of Arthur and Ethel Vielhaber Montgomery. She married Harold R. Powell on May 15, 1942
and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son Larry C. Powell of Columbus, grandchildren
Roxana J. Bonnell (Jeff), Briana S and Liana L Bonnell,. Amanda L. Powell-Zeller (Matthew)
Carly B. Smith (Adam); great grandchildren Isabel C. and Thomas C. and Samira P.
Zeller , Briseis Powell March-Banks and Cambria S and Lincoln J. Smith ; a sister Louise (Stanley)
Embry of Hope.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband Harold R. Powell a daughter Carole Sue
Bonnell and a grandson Brett A. Bonnell.
