Vollila Exene Vansickle's Obituary
Vollila Exene VanSickle, 83, of Flat Rock, died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Major Hospital.
She spent most of her life as a housewife. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Norristown and had attended Flat Rock Christian Church.
Exene enjoyed cooking, gardening, and going shopping.
Born on June 10, 1934 in Washington Township in Shelby County, Exene was the daughter of Eugene and May Monroe. She married George VanSickle on August 30, 1957 and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2008.
Survivors include son, Luke VanSickle of Flat Rock; and siblings, Andrew (Nina) Monroe of Odon, IN, Carl (Betty) Monroe of New Albany, and Shirley Clapp of Shelbyville.
Exene is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Beverly Mann.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Norristown Cemetery.
