Wanita Beach ,86 of Hope died at 7:30 am Saturday at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope.
Mrs. Beach had worked at several nursing homes and had owned a restaurant. She loved to sew as a hobby.
The funeral will be Friday Jan. 4 at 1:30 pm at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Aud officiating. Calling will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Born in Nelson Co. Kentucky on March 24, 1921, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Mary Lou Crawhorn Richards. She first married Harry Saylor in 1936 and later married John Beach in 1955.
Survivors include; daughters, Charlene ( Dee) Stapp of Edinburgh and Linda ( Jerry) Law of North Vernon; sons, Marion (Elaine) Saylor of Columbus, William (Anna Marie) Saylor of Naples, Fla. and Donald (Irene) Saylor of Shelbyville, Tenn.; step daughters, Patricia Eddelman of Columbus and April (Danny) McClinic of Mansfield, Ohio; a brother, Curt (Pat) Richards of Mississippi; a sister, Lottie (Kenneth) Jones of Hope; 25 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Beach was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands; sisters, Inez Jordan and Marie Ross; brothers, Gilbert Jr., Roy, Robert, and Gene Richards and grandchildren, Janell and Greg Saylor.
