Obituary

William "Bill" H. Griner, 96 of Edinburgh died Thursday February
6, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope.

Before retirng, he was employed at Cummins Engine Company for
38 years. He was also a farmer and continued farming after retiring.

He was a member of the Hartsville United Methodist Church since
1951 and was also a member of the Diesel Worker's Union.

The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m . at Norman Funeral Home
in Hope. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 5 at the funeral home. Burial
will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be donated to Hartsville United
Methodist Church or Alzeheimer's Association.  Online

Born March 15, 1917 in Brown County, Bill was the son of C. Edward
Griner and Bertha Lawson Griner. He married Helen Turner September
12, 1941 in Nashville, IN and she preceded him in death August 23, 2001.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra R. Beckett(Olas) of Georgetown;
grandchildren, Betsy Ann Beckett of Edinburgh, Polly Dee Beckett of Corydon and Barry Alan Beckett of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; great grandchildren, Jarrett Wayne Beckett of Depauw, Cody Hayden Beckett of Depauw and Austin Alan Beckett of Indianapolis.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mary Ausetta Ridenauer, Alonzo Griner, Noah Griner and a half sister Dorothy Lucas.
